OUR STORY
It Started with Burnout and a Big
Decision
After more than seven years in the hair industry, our founder Jorjia Noelle hit a wall. She was burnt out, uninspired, and seriously considering packing up her scissors for good. Working in someone else’s salon just wasn’t her path—she was craving something more: more freedom, more ownership, and more alignment with the kind of service and space she dreamed of creating.
So she took the leap—from salon employee to solo stylist. And let her tell you… it wasn’t easy.
THE JOURNEY TO
SUCCESS
It wasn’t always easy.
Fast forward to now, with over 15 years in the industry, Jorjia has built a business she’s proud of. She’s made the mistakes, cried on the floor, questioned everything – but she’s also grown. She’s learned how to set boundaries, price with confidence, market with purpose, and build a business that not only supports her and her team, but lights her up.
Today, she runs a thriving multi-service salon, leads a team she adores, and mentors other hairdressers and business owners on their own journeys.
The mission became clear: Help other hairdressers skip the burnout, back themselves fully, and create careers built on genuine human connection and psychological understanding.
“I created MH:EDU because I wish I'd had this when I was starting out. I remember how isolated I felt when I was building my business. There were so many challenges no one talks about—the pricing anxiety, difficult clients, the mental load of running a salon. But what really opened my eyes was when I started studying psychology.”
Understanding human behavior, motivation, and relationship dynamics completely transformed how I viewed business. I realized that most salon ‘problems’ are actually people problems—and people problems have psychological solutions. Suddenly, client resistance made sense. Team communication issues had clear patterns. Pricing anxiety had roots in psychology, not just business strategy.
That’s when I knew I had to share this. The salon industry needed education that understood the human side of business, not just the operational side.”

Sustainable Growth Focus
We’re not about hustle culture or burning out for success. Our approach builds businesses that support your life, not consume it.
Community-Centered
Learning doesn’t happen in isolation. We create communities where professionals support each other’s growth and success.

WHY WE BEGAN MH:EDU
The Industry Problem We Saw
The hairdressing industry has incredible technical education—cutting techniques, colour formulas, styling methods. But there’s a massive gap in business education that actually addresses the real challenges salon professionals face.
What’s Wrong With the Industry
The hair industry is overflowing with technical training—cutting, colouring, styling— but when it comes to the business side, there’s a massive gap. Most salon professionals are left to figure it out alone, leading to:
- Pricing anxiety and undercharging for their worth
- Burnout from 40+ hour weeks with little balance
- Communication breakdowns between owners, teams, and clients
- Lack of confidence in leadership and business decisions
- A culture of “just work harder” instead of smarter
How MH:EDU Solves It
We created MH:EDU to fill that gap—with education that addresses the real challenges salon professionals face. Our approach combines practical strategies with psychology-informed insights so you can:
- Price with confidence and attract clients who value you
- Build systems and boundaries that prevent burnout
- Strengthen team culture and communication with ease
- Lead your business with clarity and confidence
- Create sustainable success rooted in human connection
Because success in this industry isn’t just about technical skills—it’s about understanding people. And that’s exactly what we teach.
WHY WE STARTED
MH:EDU
To Fill the Gap in
Business Education
The industry is full of technical training, but little support exists for the real challenges—pricing, leadership, client experience, and burnout.
To Support Salon Professionals
Beyond the Chair
We wanted to give hairdressers and owners practical tools to navigate the business and emotional sides of their careers, not just the technical.
To Bring Psychology
Into the Salon
Most salon struggles are actually people problems. By applying psychology, we help professionals understand clients, teams, and themselves on a deeper level.
To Prevent Burnout and
Isolation
Too many hairdressers feel alone, overworked, and undervalued. MH:EDU exists to show that success can be sustainable—and that you don’t have to do it by yourself.
OUR WHY IN ACTION
The isolation is real
Acting ethically, honestly, and transparently in all our educational content and business relationships.
Technical skills aren’t enough
You can be the most talented stylist in the world, but without business confidence, communication skills, and professional boundaries, you’ll struggle to build sustainability.
The industry deserves better
We believe hairdressers are skilled professionals who deserve to be compensated fairly, treated with respect, and equipped with the business skills to thrive.
THE PSYCHOLOGY
BEHIND OUR SUCCESS
What sets MH:EDU apart is the psychological foundation underlying every strategy and framework. Jorjia’s ongoing psychology studies have revealed that most salon business challenges stem from human behavior patterns, not technical deficiencies.
Understanding the “Why” Behind Client Behavior:
Every client responds differently—some push back on pricing while others happily pay premium rates. The difference isn’t luck, it’s psychology. By learning the psychology of trust-building and emotional connection, you’ll understand how to create genuine client relationships that drive loyalty, rebookings, and referrals.
Team Dynamics Through a Psychological Lens
Most team issues aren’t about skill—they’re about people. Communication breakdowns, conflict, or lack of motivation often follow clear psychological patterns. With the right strategies, you can address these challenges sustainably, build a thriving salon culture, and lead with confidence.
Personal Psychology for Business Owners
Stepping from employee to entrepreneur takes more than hard work—it takes a new mindset. By reshaping your relationship with money, boundaries, and success, you’ll build authentic confidence and clarity. Psychology helps you move past self-doubt and into leadership that feels sustainable, not overwhelming.
